Only a 5 minutes' walk separates you from the water front and the wharfs. There is a car park at a distance of 60 m; the central train and the bus stations are only 80 m away.
Historical Überlingen, which features the longest water front of all Lake Constance, is often called "Nice on Lake Constance" due to its southern-Mediterranean flavour. Überlingen was first mentioned in the year 770, received its town charter around 1180, and was a free imperial city from 1268 – 1803. It displays elegant patrician and guild houses, a town hall from the 14th and 15th century, a Renaissance chancellery, a Gothic cathedral and many sights worth seeing.
